How to Reset Windows 11 to Factory Settings

If you are having problems with your computer, a great to fix it and make it work like new again is doing a factory reset. This will make everything new again. When doing this, you can choose keep your files or remove everything way. Either way, it is a great fix for most major problems.

Step 1

Click the search box at the bottom and then search for Reset.

The search box is where to search for system reset feature.

Step 2

Choose Reset this PC from the search results.

You should see reset this PC from the best match results.

Step 3

Click Reset this PC under Recovery Options.

Step 4

Choose to keep your files or remove everything. The first option keeps your personal files but removes apps. For example, if you have Microsoft Word, it would keep your Word documents (files) but remove Microsoft Word (app).

Next, choose cloud download or local reinstall. If your Internet is fast and you wanted to the latest files from Microsoft, choose the Cloud Download option. The second option is fine as well. Once you choose an option, Windows 11 will then reset back to factory settings.

Both choices will fix most problems on your PC.
